[俚語] spin doctor
一般說法： 公關高手、公關專家
但因 spin 有 bend the facts in one's favor 的含意，因此，可以帶點負面味道去譯。
上文寫得頗有意思，其對政治人物言語形象的理想及針砭，對照陳沖後來官途，不勝唏噓啊！
但該文引陸以正大使文章說spin doctors一詞為2006年英相Blair相關報導所新創 ，疑有誤：
如phrases.org.uk (英國國家語言機構的corpus大眾版網站)指出，80年代就有囉！2002年倫敦也有篇語言學論文探討spin-doctor
陳沖文中提到用spin一詞來自棒球，
phrases.org.uk則認為來自紡線(yarn)，
VOA則說是網球。
（OS：總之，就是球狀物旋轉的概念，不過，陳沖的解釋說「棒球運動中投手快速旋轉球身，期望球被擊出時能落在對己方有利之方位」，確實比較傳神。）
英文解釋：
有道海量辭典舉了個例子，譯為「大話精」，但個人以為「精」是對了，「大話」則通常是政治人物（而非其公關助手）所說，若有個老愛誇張作勢、譁眾取寵的政客，倒可以用大話精形容：Spin Doctor - 有道海量词典 「近二十多年来，西方更流行「大话精（spin doctor）治国，日日都是竞选日，政客做事避重就轻，形式主义，短期行为，追求高民望，不敢硬碰有争议的难题，中看不中用」

因為讀到一篇FT的文章 China spins away from propaganda ：
「From what the world has seen so far of China’s new leaders, Xi Jinping and Li Keqiang have learnt a thing or two from Western spin-doctors.」
